What You'll Learn

The program is made up of milestones, or challenge-based steps where you’ll gain hands-on experience and master a concept before moving on and eventually completing the entire challenge. Have a look at what you'll accomplish over this 3-week program in each milestone.

1
Identify your target customer
The first step is to identify your target customer. In this milestone, start with a high-level hypothesis of who your target customer is and continually revise this as you learn, refine, and tweak the features of your product, a process known as iterating.
2
Define your target persona
The next step is to develop a customer persona before you can go on to gather information about their underserved needs — those needs that are not currently being adequately met. This is how you will identify an opportunity to create value for your customers. In this milestone, you'll develop a customer profile and learn to develop personas.
4
Conduct the interviews
It's time to conduct a test interview. You'll use the feedback from this interview and the questionnaire from your peer to nail your process. Once you are happy with your semi-structured interview guide, you're on your way to conducting an interview with a potential customer and documenting the results.
5
Challenge discussion
At this point, you'll have the opportunity to share your preparatory work and the findings from the interviews you have conducted with your peers and Subject Matter Experts.
6
Fill in the value proposition canvas and submit
By milestone 6, you have identified all the benefits your product offers. Your final step is to use the value proposition canvas to describe what makes these benefits valuable and connect this value to your buyer's problem.
