I don't have the required B2 English certificate, is it possible to attain the B2 later on?

We require learners to possess a certain level of English proficiency in order to understand the study material and work in groups seamlessly. While we do not require official English certification, we assess your English level during the interview stage.

How does the admissions process work?

The admissions process requires the following steps:

1. Complete a few questions or speak with our admissions team

2. Submit an application to Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences

3. Upload your information to WU Executive Academy

4. Attend an admissions interview with Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences & the WU Executive Academy

5. Sign the admissions contract with WU Executive Academy

Why do I need to send my information to the WU Executive academy?

The WU Executive Academy is our triple-accredited education partner that awards the degree and ensures a high-quality education experience. Due to GDPR requirements, you’ll need to upload your information to the WU Executive Academy on their website after your application has been submitted and reviewed. Your admissions contact will provide you with additional details for completing this part of the process.

Will I be able to apply for a student visa?

After you have signed the contract and paid the deposit to WU Executive Academy, you will be officially enrolled as a student at an Austrian university. Depending on your specific situation, it may be possible for you to apply for a student visa to Austria (but not Germany).

Please note that this is a mobile-first degree program. While Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences is happy to support you coming to the EU as a student, we can make no guarantees about visa requests. Completing a Professional Master’s Degree will have important fiscal and professional implications for your career. Hence, we recommend that you apply to the program because of the educational experience it can provide, and not simply because of the visa options it affords.

When do I have to commit to the program?

After a successful admissions interview, you will receive notification of your acceptance into the program and be provided with a legally binding tuition contract between you and WU Executive Academy. Once you have signed this contract and paid the minimum tuition deposit, you have committed to the program.

What's an eligibility check?

An eligibility check is a simple web form in which you submit your contact information, along with details about your work and educational experience. Our admission team will review this information and get back to you. Alternatively, you can always schedule a meeting with someone from our admissions team to discuss your eligibility.

What's the admissions interview like?

The admissions interview is a 30-minute online interview in which the Dean of the WU Executive Academy Professional Master’s program and ToU staff assess your motivations for the program and confirm your English language abilities.

What title do I get after completing the program?

Your official title will be Professional Master.

What if I’m not accepted into the program?

The admissions team will work with you to determine the best next steps, on a case-by-case basis. For example, if you simply lack the professional work or education experience required for acceptance, we can work with you to help you apply for a future cohort or a different program.

Do I have to pay the entire tuition at once?

You will need to pay 10% of your total tuition as a confirmation fee to reserve your study placement. Then, the remaining balance can be paid in 1-5 installments over the course of the program, depending on the installment type of your choice.

Can scholarships be combined?

No, each applicant is eligible to apply for one scholarship. However, each applicant is also entitled to apply for an early application tuition reduction or receive an additional reduction by applying with a friend.

Do you offer any other discounts on top of your scholarships?

Yes we do. Please talk to our admissions team about our Super-Early and Early-Bird tuition reduction which are available to all learners. We also offer the opportunity to refer a friend or signup with somebody from your network, in this case you'll each earn a €1.000 tuition reduction.

What are the Master’s financing options?

There are different ways of financing your studies.

‍Most students use a mix of financing options ranging from student jobs and saving, to scholarships or governmental support.

If you need further assistance please contact our admissions team. Payments can be made via bank transfer to the IBAN listed on your invoice. For folks outside of the EU, we recommend looking at transfer services (for example, Wise.com) to make your tuition payments.

Can my work or company pay for this program?

Yes! We are happy to work with your employer to help finance this degree, in part or in full. Please reach out to our team so that we can arrange to speak with your manager.

Can I save money via taxes if I'm a German citizen?

Yes! Learners can save a significant amount of money by deducting their study fees as “income-related expenses”. A PM in SET learner earning €50k from their job can save more than €5.000 in taxes! Please contact our sales team to evaluate your current situation.

Will I receive notifications from the learning app?

No, there aren't any notifications, your app goes everywhere you are and you learn based on your schedule.

What makes ToU different from other universities? I’m currently comparing my options.

Are there any activities on Saturday? I am a Seventh-day Adventist, so I keep the Sabbath, I don’t work or study on Saturdays, and Sunday is no problem.

Our schedules are flexible. Therefore, you can learn depending on your schedule and preferences. There are no events or course discussions on Saturday or Sunday.

Do you offer any help with finding career opportunities?

Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences consists of a large network of industry experts and partners. We will work to help you either start your own venture or find a career opportunity.

What do I have to do to graduate?

You'll work through the 4 phases of the program:

-Orientation Phase

-Calibration Phase

-Elevation Phase

-Activation Phase

We judge your success based on the mastery of competencies rather than grades. As you work through the challenges we closely monitor your progress and determine successful completion of a challenge or phase.

I’m quite curious, how do the challenges work?

The challenges are core to our learning model. It's a substantial part of every course making up at least half of the overall workload. They are either individual or team challenges. You will be given real-world cases and scenarios to apply and strengthen your newly learned competencies right away. These could range from an individual Python coding challenge that takes up a couple of hours in a course on Data Science to a couple of days of preparing, running, and synthesizing user interviews in a course on User Research to several weeks of intense group work to create new business models and products reacting to global challenges such as climate change. During the challenges you will be accompanied by both an academic mentor as well as a business mentor that has practical experience in the area of the challenge.

Who's behind Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences? Who are the mentors, ambassadors, and academic staff from you and from your partners involved in the program?

ToU was founded by Christian Rebernik and Dr. Thomas Funke who both have extensive backgrounds and expertise in the fields of sustainability, entrepreneurship, and technology.

The mentors, ambassadors, and academic staff are a group of carefully selected industry professionals with proven track records in the areas of sustainability, entrepreneurship, and technology. We believe in learning by doing, or challenge-based learning. These experts bring their real-world knowledge and expertise to the program and offer their insights as change makers themselves.

Are there exams at Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences?

There are no exams in a traditional sense. We will not have written exams or anything alike. Most of the assessment will be done by how well you master certain concepts, and skills or simply how well you put things into practice. In the end, no one can give better feedback than the market.

How many students will there be in each intake?

There were be a 25 person limit per intake.

What's the difference between a Professional Master and an MBA?

A Professional Master's (PM) is a postgraduate professional degree that pairs the latest academic research with the practical experience of well-known business specialists. Its primary target group is working professionals, leaders, and creators. The PM is recognized in an international context and is gaining popularity globally. While an MBA gives a broad overview of business fundamentals and offers a short specialization at the end of the program, a PM lays its focus on a specific area of expertise from the very beginning. The PM provides a shorter yet more intense experience and close contact with industry experts from the start.

Is there a community at ToU? I’m worried I won’t have a university experience.

What is the timeline to complete the PM in SET, can it be longer than 1 year?

The timeline for completing the Professional Master's program is flexible but it isn't self-paced. There is a possibility to extend time or go faster during certain phases however there is an expectation to finish the degree in a timely manner.

Are there grades at Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences?

Every course with a group challenge, i.e. where it is solely about applying your knowledge and creating solutions, will not be based on grades, but only a “pass” and a “not yet passed” (all courses in the elevation phase). Courses in the orientation and in the calibration phase will be graded on a scale from 1 to 5. But we don’t want you to understand this as a judgment, but rather as a possibility and direction to improve. In general, we value feedback way higher than grades. We value room for improvement over putting students into fixed categories and comparing them to one another.

Who is responsible for preparing the content of all the challenges?

Subject matter experts are responsible for the creation of challenges. They are designed to simulate real-world business scenarios.

Is the program manageable with a full-time job? What's the workload like?

The program is specifically designed for professionals to study next to their job. It's mobile and part-time. Nevertheless, it will still require a great amount of dedication and curiosity. We want the program to be a truly transformative experience for you and, just like with anything in life, it's also true here: The more you give in — the more you get out. Taking 60 ECTS you might need 20-30 hours per week. In reality, many people manage to have a great experience by investing only half of that time.
