Thomas Funke

Dr. Thomas Funke is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences. He spent 15+ years in academia making an impact and is also the Founder of several other successful startups. His expertise is in the areas of sustainability, entrepreneurship, and technology. He co-founded Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences to transform education and educate a new generation of sustainable leaders in a way that will change our future.

Dr. Irène Kilubi

Dr. Irène Kilubi is the Founder and Managing Director of brandPreneurs & brandFluencers. She supports pioneers, visionaries, and changemakers in the three subject areas of community building, corporate influencing, and connecting GenXYZ. She spent several years in companies such as BMW, Siemens, and Deloitte. For four years, she has been anchored in the startup and online scene, implementing social selling activities and implementing target group-oriented go-to-market and branding strategies.

Through the new learning platform “Mathefragen.de”, he completes his educational journey as one of Germany’s leading educational visionaries, with the goal of educational justice.

Keynote: Why does the world need education in sustainability?
Marcella Hansch is an architect and Founder of everwave. She studied architecture in Aachen (Germany) and Florence (Italy) where she developed the concept of "Pacific Garbage Screening" during her studies. Alongside her work as an architect, she launched the project everwave (formerly Pacific Garbage Screening). For a long time she built the project on a voluntary basis, since the end of 2018, she and her team of 15 people, have been working full-time to implement their goals for a sustainable future.  As CEO, she leads the project and represents everwave in public.

During this action-packed evening, members of the ToU community will come together for a unique opportunity to connect.

The night will kick off with a welcome from Founders and CEOs Christian Rebernik and Dr. Thomas Funke followed by State Secretary for Economics, Energy, Transport, Housing for the State of Hessen, Dr. Philipp Nimmermann.

Later our keynote speakers will take the stage for enlightening talks.

A presentation about ToU with a Q&A from learners and a panel discussion are last on the agenda before networking opportunities. Please stick around for refreshments and music.
