Frequently Asked Questions

Are there scholarships for an online MBA or master's?

Yes. Tomorrow University offers scholarships of up to 1,500 EUR toward an online MBA or master's, plus a Regional Price Grant that lowers tuition by up to 8,000 EUR depending on your country. You can also cut costs through payment-plan discounts and ECTS transfer, which reduces your fee by 30 EUR per credit.

Can you study a Bachelor in AI online?

Yes. Tomorrow University offers a Bachelor of Science in AI and Sustainability that you study 100% online, self-paced, while working. It is a FIBAA-accredited German Bachelor's degree, and one version builds in a Le Wagon Bootcamp worth 15 ECTS Credits. You learn to apply artificial intelligence to real sustainability challenges.

Can you study psychology online?

Yes. You can study applied psychology online through our Master of Arts in Applied Psychology, an accredited German degree you complete 100% online while you keep working. You choose from five specializations, from coaching to organizational psychology, and finish with 90 or 120 ECTS Credits. It is an applied, workplace-focused degree, not a clinical psychotherapy path.

Can you study while working full-time?

Yes. Tomorrow University programs are 100% online and self-paced, built to fit around a full-time job with no on-campus requirement. You can study a part-time online master's, bachelor's, or MBA while working, learning through Challenge-Based Learning that turns your real work into part of the degree. You choose full-time or part-time pacing.

Can you study without an Abitur?

Yes, in Germany you can often study without an Abitur, for example through completed vocational training plus work experience, or a Meister qualification. The exact rules are set by each federal state. Whether you can enroll at Tomorrow University is decided by your individual Eligibility Check, so the best move is to start there.

Does the MA in Applied Psychology let you become a Psychological Psychotherapist (Approbation)?

No. Our MA in Applied Psychology is not a clinical degree, so it does not lead to Approbation. As the program pages state: "This degree does not qualify graduates to use the protected professional title 'Psychological Psychotherapist' ('Psychologische/r Psychotherapeut/in') under §1 of the German Psychotherapists Act (PsychThG)." It prepares you for applied, organizational, and coaching roles instead.

How does the Impact MBA work?

The Impact MBA is an online MBA at Tomorrow University that you take at 60, 90, or 120 ECTS over 12, 18, or 24 months. It runs on Challenge-Based Learning across four phases, lets you pick a specialization such as Sustainability & ESG Management, and is accredited via ACQUIN. Admission includes an entrance exam.

How many ECTS is a master's degree?

In the European system, a master's degree is usually 60 to 120 ECTS credits, most often 90 or 120. The exact number depends on the program and your prior degree. At Tomorrow University, our Master of Arts and Master of Science are 90 or 120 ECTS, and our Impact MBA is 60, 90, or 120 ECTS.

How much does an online MBA cost?

An online MBA typically costs anywhere from a few thousand to over 100,000 EUR, depending on the school, length, and credits. The final price is shaped by tuition, program length, and any credit you transfer in. At Tomorrow University, our online Impact MBA is 17,000 EUR indicative for the 60 and 90 ECTS versions and 20,000 EUR for 120 ECTS.

Is a data science or coding bootcamp worth it?

A data science or coding bootcamp can be worth it if you want practical, job-ready skills fast. The honest answer depends on your goal. A bootcamp builds hands-on skills quickly, while a degree adds an accredited qualification. At Tomorrow University you get both, because a Le Wagon Bootcamp is built into the accredited Joint BSc.

Is an online MBA worth it?

An online MBA is worth it when it moves your career toward roles you could not reach before, not simply because you hold the title. It pays off most when you keep earning while you study, apply the learning to your job right away, and choose an accredited program. It may not, if you want a guarantee.

Is Tomorrow University accredited?

Yes. Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences is a state-recognized private university in Germany, under the State of Hesse. Its programs are accredited through the Akkreditierungsrat, the German Accreditation Council, with bachelor's degrees accredited via FIBAA and master's and MBA programs via ACQUIN. The distance-learning format is approved by Germany's ZFU.

Is Tomorrow University worth it? An honest review

It depends on your goals, and you deserve a straight answer. Tomorrow University is a state-recognized German university with accredited degrees, a fully online applied learning model, a global Community, and mentoring-based careers support. Those facts are verifiable. For peer opinions, check independent review platforms yourself, and use the questions below to judge whether it fits you.

MBA or master's in business psychology: which fits you?

An MBA is a management degree; a master's in business psychology makes psychology the core discipline. Tomorrow University offers both paths: our MA in Applied Psychology (90 or 120 ECTS) for psychology-first learners, and our Impact MBA with the specialization Conscious Leadership & Organizational Development (60, 90, or 120 ECTS) for business-first learners. Both are ACQUIN-accredited.

What are ECTS credits?

ECTS, the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System, is the standard way European universities measure study workload. One ECTS credit equals roughly 25 to 30 hours of learning, and a full year of full-time study is 60 credits. At Tomorrow University, a Bachelor's is 180 ECTS and a Master's is 90 or 120 ECTS.

What are the best online universities in Germany you can study in English?

Yes, you can study at an online university in Germany in English. Germany has accredited, state-recognized private online universities offering English-taught degrees, plus public distance-learning options that are mostly German-taught. The best choice depends on accreditation, recognition, format, language, and cost. Tomorrow University is one accredited, English-taught, fully online option.

What is a coding bootcamp and is it worth it?

A coding bootcamp is a short, intensive program that teaches practical programming skills through hands-on projects rather than long lectures. Most run a few weeks to several months, online or in person. It can be worth it if you want job-ready skills fast, though a standalone bootcamp is a certificate, not an accredited degree.

What is a master in business psychology (Wirtschaftspsychologie)?

A master in business psychology (in German, Wirtschaftspsychologie) applies psychology to the world of work: motivation, teams, leadership, and organizational change. Tomorrow University does not offer a degree by that exact name. The closest applied equivalent is our MA in Applied Psychology with the specialization Organizational Psychology and New Work, an accredited German degree you study online.

What is an AI certificate and is it worth it?

An AI certificate is a credential that proves you have learned to work with artificial intelligence. An online AI certificate is worth it when it builds real, applied skills and carries recognized weight rather than just a logo. At Tomorrow University, AI learning earns ECTS, the credit system used across European universities, so it can stack toward a degree.

What is an online MBA in sustainability and ESG?

An online MBA in sustainability, often called an ESG MBA, is a Master of Business Administration that builds core management skills alongside sustainability and ESG strategy. At Tomorrow University, our online Impact MBA delivers this through the Sustainability & ESG Management specialization, accredited via ACQUIN, with 60, 90, or 120 ECTS options.

What is Challenge-Based Learning?

Challenge-Based Learning is a method where you learn by solving real, open-ended problems instead of memorizing theory from lectures. At Tomorrow University it runs across four phases, Orientation, Calibration, Elevation, and Activation, so you build knowledge, apply it to interdisciplinary challenges, and finish with a thesis or applied project. It is 100% online and self-paced.

What is the Le Wagon bootcamp and how does it fit a Tomorrow University degree?

Le Wagon is a coding bootcamp partner. At Tomorrow University, its bootcamp is built into our Joint BSc in AI and Sustainable Technologies, where it counts for 15 of the 170 ECTS. You pick one track, AI Software or Data Analytics, and it is accredited and integrated into the full degree, not a separate course.

What is the right AI training for you or your team?

The right AI training depends on your goal. If you want your team to build a working AI solution, not just watch lectures, Tomorrow Academy is a corporate fellowship where teams solve a real business challenge using Challenge-Based Learning. You earn 20 to 35 ECTS that stack toward a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science.

Is an online degree recognized?

Yes, when the degree is accredited. Tomorrow University degrees are accredited German higher-education degrees, awarded under the German Accreditation Council through FIBAA for Bachelor's programs and ACQUIN for Master's and MBA programs. An accredited online degree is formally equivalent to an on-campus one. Recognition follows the accreditation, not the delivery format.

As the maximum number of credits that can be recognized is half of the ECTS credits of your degree program at ToU, for the Bachelor’s you can transfer up to 90 ECTS.

To transfer your previous credits, you will need to follow our credit recognition process. The recognition of your previous credits should be done during the application process. This involves submitting relevant documents such as your transcript, module information or handbook, and an overview of your previous university’s evaluation system.

Once you apply for a Credit Transfer, our goal is to complete the initial check and inform you of the result within 5 working days. After that, the program director reviews your documents and decides on the transfer of credits within one week. You will be notified of the outcome in writing within 2 weeks. Depending on the case and the required documents, the recognition process may take longer.

The respective Program Director, together with the University Registration Team and the Examination Board, is responsible for the recognition and transfer of credits. If recognition and transfer are refused, you will be informed of the reasons in writing. The procedure is further governed by our regulations.

How much time does participation require each week?

The program is designed around busy professionals. Expect 5 to 10 hours per week, covering learning sessions, project work, and community touchpoints. The format is remote-first and asynchronous-friendly, so it integrates naturally into a normal working week.

How does the ECTS degree top-up work?

Tomorrow Academy is part of Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences. Participants earn 20-35 ECTS credits that carry full academic recognition. These credits can be applied toward a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree, meaning the Academy is not just a standalone certificate it can be the first chapter of a full academic qualification.

What kind of AI solutions do participants build?

Projects are defined entirely by your business context. Past examples include internal AI assistants, automated reporting pipelines, customer interaction tools, and data analysis workflows. The solution belongs to your organization. We guide and certify the process, but the output and the intellectual property are entirely yours.

How is Tomorrow Academy's learning approach different?

Most corporate AI training delivers theory, slides, and a certificate. Tomorrow Academy works with Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) and is entirely different. Instead of lectures and exams, participants work on a real challenge from inside their own organization from day one. AI isn't studied in the abstract but applied to create a working solution as the outcome.

The program is fully remote and largely asynchronous, designed to fit around a normal working week rather than pulling people out of it. Live bootcamps and immersions are built in to ensure participants build genuine connections, not just complete modules in isolation.

The curriculum also is personalizable to each learner's mission and values. The goal isn't to produce generic AI users but to develop people who can apply AI in a way that's immediately meaningful to the business and themselves.

What is the minimum number of participants?

There is no minimum. We work with companies sending a single participant to teams of 20 or more. Larger cohorts can access custom pricing and a dedicated company track built around shared use cases and organizational goals.

Do we choose which employees participate?

Yes, entirely. You nominate the participants from your team. We recommend selecting people who are motivated to apply AI in their role and who have a concrete business challenge they want to tackle during the program.

What does participation cost?

Costs vary depending on track and cohort size and in many cases can be reduced by up to 100% through available government funding. We recommend booking a discovery call with our team to explore your options and get a clear picture of what the program would cost your organization.
