I don't have the required B2 English certificate, is it possible to attain the B2 later on?

We require learners to possess a certain level of English proficiency in order to understand the study material and work in groups seamlessly. While we do not require official English certification, we assess your English level during the interview stage.

What title do I get after completing the program?

Your official title will be Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science.

What's the admissions interview like?

The admissions interview is a 30-minute online interview with the Program Director of the Bachelor's Degree program. In the interview, we assess your motivations for the program and also confirm your English language abilities.

Will I be able to apply for a student visa?

Check with your local embassy about attaining a student visa.

When do I have to commit to the program?

After the successful admissions interview, you will receive notification of your acceptance into the program and be provided with a legally binding tuition contract between you and Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences. Once you have signed this contract and paid the minimum tuition deposit, you have committed to the program.

What if I’m not accepted into the program?

The Admissions Team will work with you to determine the best next steps, on a case-by-case basis. For example, if you simply lack the professional work or education experience required for acceptance, we can work with you to help you apply for a future cohort or a different program.

What’s an eligibility check?

An eligibility check is a simple web form in which you submit your contact information, along with details about your work and educational experience. Our admission team will review this information and get back to you. Alternatively, you can always schedule a meeting with someone from our Admissions Team to discuss your eligibility.

What are the next steps I should prepare for?

While the application process is taking course, you are welcome to join a Trial Challenge where you can grow your network and get acquainted with the community. You’ll be in close contact with the ToU team throughout the application process regarding the next steps or actions to take.

How does the admissions process work?

The admissions process requires the following steps:

1. Complete a few questions or speak with our Admissions Team

2. Then, we invite you to an admissions interview

3. If you pass the admissions interview, we ask you to provide the following documents:

- A recognized secondary school leaving certificate or high school diploma

- CV (Curriculum Vitae) and/or link to your LinkedIn profile

- Copy of passport or national ID to verify your identity

- Proof of English language proficiency (at least B2, e.g. certificate, native speaker)

Can I transfer my previous university credits to Tomorrow University?

Yes, you can transfer your previous university credits to Tomorrow University. Tomorrow University offers a reduction of 30 Euros in tuition fees for each transferred ECTS credit.

As the maximum number of credits that can be recognized is half of the ECTS credits of your degree program at ToU, for the Bachelor’s you can transfer up to 90 ECTS.

To transfer your previous credits, you will need to follow our credit recognition process. The recognition of your previous credits should be done during the application process. This involves submitting relevant documents such as your transcript, module information or handbook, and an overview of your previous university’s evaluation system.

Once you apply for a Credit Transfer, our goal is to complete the initial check and inform you of the result within 5 working days. After that, the program director reviews your documents and decides on the transfer of credits within one week. You will be notified of the outcome in writing within 2 weeks. Depending on the case and the required documents, the recognition process may take longer.

The respective Program Director, together with the University Registration Team and the Examination Board, is responsible for the recognition and transfer of credits. If recognition and transfer are refused, you will be informed of the reasons in writing. The procedure is further governed by our regulations.

Can scholarships be combined?

No, but each applicant is eligible to apply for one scholarship. However, each applicant is also entitled to apply for an early application tuition reduction or receive an additional reduction by applying with a friend.

Can I save money via taxes if I am a German citizen?

Yes! Learners can save a significant amount of money by deducting their study fees as “income-related expenses”. As a Bachelor's Degree learner, tax saving is possible based on income. They can deduct up to €6.000 per year. Please contact our sales team to evaluate your current situation.

What are the Bachelor's financing options?

There are different ways of financing your studies.‍

Most students use a mix of financing options ranging from student jobs and saving, to scholarships or governmental support. If you need further assistance, please contact our admission team.

Payments can be made via bank transfer to the IBAN listed on your invoice. For folks outside of the EU, we recommend looking at transfer services (for example, Wise.com) to make your tuition payments.

You can choose between the following payment options:

Full price upfront with a 5% reduction (€18.620)

Monthly payments (€550) x 36 months

Yearly payments (€6.600) x 3 years

Do you offer any other discounts on top of your scholarships?

Yes, we do. Please talk to our Admissions Team about our Super-Early and Early-Bird tuition reduction which is available to all learners. We also offer the opportunity to refer a friend or signup with somebody from your network, in this case, you'll each earn a €1.000 tuition reduction.

Do I have to pay the entire tuition at once?

The full tuition is €19.800, you can choose between the following payment options:

Monthly payments (€550) x 36 months

Seat confirmation (€3.000)

Can I work full-time while studying the Bachelors?

Our bachelor's program is specifically designed for individuals seeking maximum flexibility. With an average workload of 10 hours per week and only one live session, you can easily manage your studies while working full time.

I’m quite curious, how do the challenges work?

The challenges are core to our learning model. It's a substantial part of every course making up at least half of the overall workload. They are either individual or team challenges. You will be given real-world cases and scenarios to apply and strengthen your newly learned competencies right away. These could range from an individual Python coding challenge that takes up a couple of hours in a course on Data Science to a couple of days of preparing, running, and synthesizing user interviews in a course on User Research to several weeks of intense group work to create new business models and products reacting to global challenges such as climate change. During the challenges you will be accompanied by both an academic mentor as well as a business mentor that has practical experience in the area of the challenge. Our challenges are designed by subject matter experts and industry leaders.

I am a seventh-day adventist, so I keep the Sabbath, I don’t work or study on Saturdays, and Sunday is no problem.

Our schedules are flexible. Therefore, you can learn depending on your schedule and preferences. There are no events or course discussions on Saturday or Sunday.

Is there a community at ToU? I’m worried I won’t have a university experience.

Are there exams at Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences?

There are no exams in a traditional sense. We will not have written exams or anything alike. Most of the assessment will be done by how well you master certain concepts, and skills or simply how well you put things into practice. In the end, no one can give better feedback than the market.

As it is a University of Applied Sciences ⁠— is it possible to go through the program quicker or do we have a set timeframe to follow, and will we stay for the same cohort for 3 years?

The "normal" duration is three years, but there are ways to study slower (or faster). We can explain deeper during the onboarding process.

Who’s behind ToU? Who are the mentors, ambassadors, and academic staff?

ToU was founded by Christian Rebernik and Dr. Thomas Funke, both have extensive backgrounds and experience in the fields of sustainability, entrepreneurship, and technology.

The mentors, ambassadors, and academic staff are a group of carefully selected industry professionals with proven track records in the areas of sustainability, entrepreneurship, and technology. We believe in learning by doing, or challenge-based learning. These experts bring their real-world knowledge and expertise to the program and offer their insights as change makers themselves.

Are there grades at Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences?

Every course with a group challenge, i.e. where it is solely about applying your knowledge and creating solutions, will not be based on grades, but only a “pass” and a “not yet passed” (all courses in the elevation phase). Courses in the orientation and in the calibration phase will be graded on a scale from 1 to 5. But we don’t want you to understand this as a judgment, but rather as a possibility and direction to improve. In general, we value feedback way higher than grades. We value room for improvement over putting learners into fixed categories and comparing them to one another.
