How much does an online MBA cost?
An online MBA typically costs anywhere from a few thousand to over 100,000 EUR, depending on the school, length, and credits. The final price is shaped by tuition, program length, and any credit you transfer in. At Tomorrow University, our online Impact MBA is 17,000 EUR indicative for the 60 and 90 ECTS versions and 20,000 EUR for 120 ECTS.
What drives the cost of an online MBA?
Online MBA prices vary widely because a few factors move the number. The biggest are the school's reputation and how the program is built. Length matters too: a longer program with more ECTS credits usually costs more than a shorter, focused one. Look past the headline tuition and check what is included, whether there are extra fees, and how you are allowed to pay. A transparent school shows the full figure up front and lets you spread it out, so the sticker price is not the whole story. (Source: general MBA market context)
What does the Impact MBA cost at Tomorrow University?
Our online Impact MBA comes in three sizes, so you pay for the scope that fits your background:
- 60 ECTS (12 months): 17,000 EUR indicative
- 90 ECTS (18 months): 17,000 EUR indicative
- 120 ECTS (24 months): 20,000 EUR indicative
These figures are for the Sustainability & ESG Management specialization and are indicative, so confirm the current number for your track and start date. You can pay monthly, quarterly, per semester, yearly, or upfront, and paying earlier is what unlocks the scholarship deduction below. One note on payment: learners based in Germany and Austria pay by bank transfer or SEPA direct debit, not by card. For a deeper look at this specialization, see our page on the online MBA in sustainability and ESG.
What can lower the cost?
More than most people expect. Three levers stack:
- Scholarships. These are deducted from your tuition at the end of the program if you pay upfront, yearly, per semester, or quarterly. Ask the Admission Team which scholarships apply to your profile.
- Payment plans. Spreading payments monthly does not raise the total, it just makes it manageable while you keep working, and if you ever cancel you only pay for the portion you completed.
- ECTS credit transfer. You can have credits from previous, not-yet-completed studies recognized, and every transferred ECTS credit lowers your tuition by 30 EUR. For the Impact MBA the transfer cap is 30 or 45 ECTS depending on the version, and relevant professional experience can count too.
Is an online MBA worth the cost?
That depends on what you want from it, and it is a fair question to sit with. The honest answer: an MBA pays off when the skills and network move your career toward roles you could not reach before, not simply because you hold the title. A good online MBA lets you keep earning while you study, which changes the math, and Challenge-Based Learning means you apply the work to real problems in your job right away.
